The High Needs Block funds all of the provision in the local area for pupils with special education needs and disabilities. This includes the costs of additional support provided in mainstream schools, the costs of placements in specialist placements (for example opportunity bases, special schools and non-maintained and independent provision) as well as the costs of SEND support services and therapies
